8.8 megapixel projectors coming to movie theaters
Sony said that it will begin installing 54 4K digital cinema projectors, each providing four times the resolution of 1080p, in U.S. movie theaters next month.
TI Announces DarkChip 4 and 3D DLP HDTVs
The DLP DarkChip 4 Theater features a 3 chip, 1080p DLP projector with a native contrast ratio of 15,0001. A DLP HDTV with DarkChip 4 and LED illumination could reach a contrast performance beyond 100,000 to 1.
