Tech stocks turn north in early trading

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Technology stocks claimed the high ground in early trading Friday as the sector rebounded from two-straight losing sessions this week. Gains came from Apple Inc. , Microsoft Corp. , Google Inc. , Dell Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. . The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index rose 16.3 points to 2,693, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index and the Morgan Stanley High Tech 35 Index also advanced.
