SonyNEC Optiarc Sees Sub-$200 Blu-ray Drives

SonyNEC Optiarc is pretty optimistic that Blu-ray drives will be able to drop in price pretty soon as they start to be common inclusions in both desktops and notebooks. Apparently, they are speculating a $100 price point by the time the holiday season hits this year, at least for the desktop market while notebooks should see $150 slim Blu-ray drives at the same time. What price point will you be comfortable with when it comes to computer-based Blu-ray drives? What will you use it for - data backup or watching movies?
