Bethune-Cookman QB charged with attempted murder
A Bethune-Cookman football player was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly pulled a shotgun on a man who owed him money. Brandon Wright, a backup quarterback and running back, was being held Wednesday in the Volusia County branch jail on several charges, including trafficking cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, home invasion robbery and false imprisonment, a jail official said.
